Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Accessing/managing ports, administration of blood & blood products, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, management/disposal of cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, oral administration of chemotherapy, recognize/communicate abnormal lab values, inpatient oncology.

• Previous Charge Experience
• Teaching Hospital Experience
• Community Hospital Experience
• LTAC Experience
• Active immunotherapy specific/non-specific, administration of interferons, administration of interleukins, recognize/manage side effects, alteration in skin and mucous membranes, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, hospice care, patient/family education and support, withholding/withdrawing treatment, leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma/non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Unit/Facility Details:

• Allied clinicians that do not require a state license in hand must arrive 3 days prior to start for fingerprints
• Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 4x12 or 3x12
• Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend.

Details:
