Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, fractures of hips/femurs, amputation, neurological disorders, multiple trauma, joint replacements, complex medical/surgical conditions. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all MMC Med Surg units
Communication with AIDET, great customer service and phone etiquette is an expectation
Unit/Facility Details: Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units. -Ratios: Nights and weekends are the same-5 patients total patient care on night shift, night shift does not have an NA on duty. Day and evening shifts, have an NA on duty if census is greater than 7 patients.
