Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
NRP (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling: 6 weekend shifts per contract. No call. TMC orientation is held twice a month. Upcoming orientation dates are 10/6/2025 and 10/20/2025.

Required Skills/Experience: Level III-IV NICU exp required

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience

Required Credentials: Must be current and show address. If resource has documents with other names (maiden, etc) please include document providing name change (marriage certificate, etc).

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Hypothermia Therapy

Types of Patients on Unit: Prematurity to 23 weeks gestation. Intraventricular Hemorrhage. Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. Respiratory Distress / Respiratory Failure. Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia. Apnea of Prematurity. Chromosomal Anomalies/ Syndromes. GI Defects - Surgery. Necrotizing Enterocolitis. Cardiac Defects. Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Feeding Disorders. Anemia.

Equipment Used on Unit: Conventional Ventilator. High Frequency Oscillating ventilator. Nitric Oxide.

Previous Employment Requirements: Work History that includes any Tucson Medical Center locations will have to be sent over to TMC’s HR for rehire status approval

Special Requests: Can no longer accommodate travel pairs or trios.

Floating Requirements: Will float to PEDS/PICU
