Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

ASN completion required

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

CMSRN (Preferred)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR not BP

Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for Level 1 Trauma Hospital

IV insertion and care, central line management

Wound care and post op monitoring

Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation

Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams

Discharge planning and patient education

Required Credentials: BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm)

Education: ASN / BSN

Unit / Facility Details: Free Parking

Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours are available

Weekend Requirements: Must work 6 weekend shifts on a 6 week schedule (work 6 shifts out of 12) or every other weekend

Holiday Requirements: Must work 12/24 or 12/25 and 12/31 or 1/1

No Call

Schedule Cycle: Every 6 weeks

Floating Requirements: Float to 3 Cobb

All adult med surg / telemetry units in house
