Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
10 months of Wound / Ostomy Care experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

No Blocking Schedules

Required Certification: CWOCN or CWON

Shift: Start/Stop times are flexible but are generally between 07:00-08:00 and 17:00-18:00

Some weekend coverage is required - No set schedule

Skills req: Per UD, Acute Care Experience, Ostomy, Fistula

On-call REQ: No

Weekend REQ: Some weekend coverage required

RTO Restrictions: Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer. Only 1-time off request per 13-week assignment.

Guaranteed Hours: 70 Hours per 2 weeks - Traveler can be called off for 1 - 10-hour shift per 2 weeks

Scrub Color: Provided

Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Return Staff Policy: Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months to return as a traveler.

BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
