Travel Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Unit

Guaranteed Hours 36

Shift Notes: Days + Call, every other weekend, every other Holiday; could float but perm staff is mainly first to float

Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips. 1:3 couplet care.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mix. Mainly obstetric/neonates, hypertension, GDM, try not to deliver anyone less than 36 weeks

Must have' skills: able to read and interpret fetal strips, critical thinking, follow quality metrics, previous travel experience, must be able to read strips - will float to Medsurg & ER as needed

Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes

Blocking schedule: Yes

Floating Requirements: Yes - Medsurg, ER. wherever in the hospital the nurse is needed - Perm staff is usually first to float

Scrub Color/Dress code: scrub color is maroon, scrubs are provided, and RN will change once on the unit into our surgical scrubs

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 3 shifts

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past 12 months
