Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New York license

Children's Hospital Float

The Children’s Hospital Float Pool (CHFP) consists of nurses trained to work in all Pediatric areas of the hospital including the Neonatal ICU (NICU), Pediatric ICU (PICU), General Pediatric floors, Postpartum mother/baby and the Pediatric Emergency Department.

There are no beds/exam rooms associated with the CHFP structure. At the beginning of their shift, CHFP RNs receive their assignment from the Centralized Nursing Staffing Office or CHFP Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager.

The assignments may be changed based on patient/staffing needs. CHFP nurses care for patients 0-21 years of age experiencing, but not limited to, prematurity, respiratory illness, trauma, sepsis, surgical interventions, neurological disorders, complex medical/surgical needs and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
