References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Able to accommodate 4x12s if candidate prefers.

On-call required: No

Block Schedules: Discuss with manager.

Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend.

Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Patient Age Groups: Adults

Daily Census: 34

Patient Diagnoses: 3E takes patients of all diagnoses. We are the only dedicated IMC unit in the hospital, so we take all patient types.

Special Requirements:

Required Work Setting Experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown.

Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.

Required Cardiovascular Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band.

Required Gastrointestinal Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management.

Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.

Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips.

Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury.

Required Orthopedics Case Experience: Ortho Trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements.

Required Plastic Surgery Case Experience: Skin grafts, Surgical drains.

Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management.

Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Any permor PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.

Magnet hospital/facility.

Must be able to take tracheostomies with ventilators.

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
