Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling: With Call

Occasionally stay late.

No self scheduling.

Variable day off

Weeknight/Call Requirement Depends, typically 1-2 week nights of call- 5pm-7am

Weekend/Call Requirement Weekend can be 1 or 2 weekends a month.

Response Time: 30 minutes

Need to be flexible to work holidays if needed

Floating: Main OR or within skillset

Required Skills / Experience: Must be well rounded with cardio and vascular.

Must have open heart and endovascular experience

Preferred Skills / Experience: CVOR Experience

Vascular hybrid

Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit: 8 to 14- varied Vascular/thoracic and heart cases scheduled each day throughout the week.

Types of Patients on Unit: Open heart, CABG, Valve replacements, thoracic cases, vascular, open and endo vascular, AAA, IVC filters

Technology Used on Unit: Cerner - SurgiNet

Unit Details: 2 dedicated heart rooms/ 1 Hybrid suite and 1-2 open surgical rooms for various cases

Others: Orientation - 12 Hours; Up to 1 week with preceptor

Special Requirements: RN's circulating required, scrubbing is a bonus

1 circulator in vascular and 2 typically in opens.
