Orientation Hours: 12
Every 3rd weekend
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: >35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Antepartum/Labor- Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc. Postpartum: Prenatal vitamin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol
Holiday Requirements: Depending on availability
Floating Requirements: Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients
Additional Notes: This is a rural hospital, distance from NICU >1 hour away, limited services.
