Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 9 months of Emergency Department experience within the past 12 months.

Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

No Block Scheduling.

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 & 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴: 13/26WKS / Every other weekend, can’t commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.

𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘀: 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀/𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit / 2 years’ experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume > 100,000 visit ED / 2 years’ experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀/𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Previous HCA experience preferred.

𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁: baxter pumps, GE monitors

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights

𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
