Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Operating Room experience with 9 months within the past 12 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Alaska license

ACLS (Required)

PALS (Required)

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Experience as a circulating Nurse

Knowledge of different surgical specialties

Preferred Skills/Experience: Ability to scrub on certain cases

Ability to provide conscious sedation or a willingness to learn

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Standard Out-patient surgeries such as Orthopedic, Plastics, eyes, ENT, General, Urology, Pain, Podiatry

Equipment Used on Unit: All equipment associated with out-patient day surgery

Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds – 8 Operating Rooms and 23 Pre-op/PACU Bays

Shift & Scheduling: Monday thru Friday

Floating Requirements: We are affiliated with three out-patient surgery centers within a few miles of each other and there might be a need in the other ASCs as well.
