Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
60 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Nevada license

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Shifts & Scheduling: Have a scheduler. They try to accommodate requests. May be filling in holes. Schedule is out 4 weeks at a time.

Weekend Requirements: Yes - as the needs arise.

Holiday Requirements: Yes - so the needs of the unit are met.

Call or a standby requirement: No

Floating Requirements: Will be required to float to MS.

Required Certifications: NALS, CSSR - Certification on how to assess. This is something that can be obtained on line through "The Columbia Lighthouse Project"*

Common diagnoses: GI, cardiac, Pediatric injury/ illness, influenza/COVID, psych- young population of SI- those are shipped. They transfer out many patients.

Experience: Must have ED/MedSurg experience to float between the two.

Trauma Level: No trauma - we ship out STEMI/Stroke.

Scrub Color: None, hospital grade uniforms.

Department Specific Orientation: Yes one day paperwork and computer work. Two days orientation on the floor.
