Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

  • Skills: Critical care experience, Inpatient, Phase I PACU, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, Care of Ventilated patients, General; Genitourinary/Renal, AV fistula/shunt, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgery Cases, Cardiac, Neuro, Neuro/Spine, Thoracic, Respiratory, Care of Ventilated Patient, Cardiovascular - Care of the Patient, Carotid Endarterectomy, Cardiac Monitoring, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Types of Anesthesia, General, Post-epidural management, Neurological, ICP monitoring, Work Settings, Inpatient, Level I Trauma Center, Medications, IV vasopressors, Pre/Post Op Care of the Patient, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
  • Critical care experience required as some patients require artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drugs.
  • Open to reviewing candidates with level 2 ICU experience
  • Must have 2 years level 1 Critical Care/ICU and PACU experience for 1st time traveler.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • PACU experience.
  • Skills: Phase I PACU, Pre-Post
  • Teaching Hospital experience.
  • Previous Charge experience.

Required Credentials: Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

Unit/Facility Details:

  • This position is ICU overflow in PACU holding.
  • Parking Cost: $15/day or $70/month

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: Float to ICU, main PACU, PCU, MS, ER Holding.
