Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Step Down Unit experience.

Experience with Meditech is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Massachusetts license

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months to be considered (perm, per diem, contract)

Types of Patients on Unit: Cardiac: Cardiothoracic surgery, CHF, Afib/RVR on drips diltiazem, amiodarone, lasix, esmolol, cangrelor, lidocaine, nitroglycerin, Respiratory: COPD, NIV: BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, hydrocortisone drip, Neuro: Q2hr neuro checks, Q2hr seizure checks, continuous EEG monitoring, IV dilantin Renal: Peritoneal dialysis, Q2hr BMP for hyponatremia, ETOH patients requiring IV phenobarbital.

Unit/Facility Details: We have 20 private beds, 14 designated as med-surg level and 6 designated as Step Down. mixed intermediate care unit.

Shift & Scheduling: 12H rotating, day/night, every other weekend. Will rotate within the same week.

Floating Requirements: Will float to MS, ICU to care for step down and MS/ED if needed.
