ER float positions will require floating between different ER satellite locations in the area. A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance, so clinicians is aware of what location they'll be reporting to.
No block scheduling.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
36 Guaranteed Hours
4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
Must pass EKG Exam
*Travel Teams must have their own vehicles *must have natural hair color and no facial piercings *men must clean shave for fit test *pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation - details to follow
ICU experience only, CVICU preferred.
Holidays: Work into rotation.
Scrub Color: Navy
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Intensivist on during days and on call at night.
Float to other ICUs and all Tele units. patient ratio of 4:1 on tele. Travelers will float 1st before perm staff. Also required to float to Westgate if asked.
Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophogectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy, TAVR.
Additional Notes: Very high acuity, travelers with IABP and CABG experience can take patients. High number of bedside procedures, bronchs, Swans, epidurals.
