Shift & Scheduling:
Can do 13 wks, or up to 1/24 end date.
Manager preference is to end 1/0, 1/17 or 1/24 to assist with holiday coverage. Will prioritize these candidates.
D/N or Nights. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule.
Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible.
Maximum 7 straight days off.
14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.

Unit Details:
Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients.
High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg
Types of Patients on Unit: Solid Tumor, Orthopedic Oncology, Thoracic Oncology
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
8J is a 36 bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care.
Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
Equipment Used on Unit:
B450 monitors GE telemetry system.
Bladder Scanner.
Alaris pumps.
Stryker beds.
Continuous Bladder Irrigation
PCA Pumps
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Previous Employment Requirements:
Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
