Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.
24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 3 months.
BSN completion preferred
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Unit Specific Details:

  • Unit Size: 8 beds (combined within 30 bed ICU)
  • Ratios: 1:1-3, acuity dependent. 1:1 for fresh post-op’s and 1:2-3 for more stable patients.
  • *All listed ratios are subject to change based on staffing availability at the facility. Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normalized staffing.
  • Patient Population: Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU
  • Lines/Drains/Devices: Swan Catheter experience required. Impella, VAD, IABP and CRRT experience preferred.
  • Airway: Intubated patients on ventilators.
  • Drips: Critical drips with titration.

Every other Weekend, Every other Holiday

This unit requires current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG’s and TAVR’s and current experience managing Swan catheters.

6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)

Critical Care Course (preferred)

RN-BC Registered Nurse - Board Certified (preferred)

EKG exam is required.
