Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Shifts: Four 10-hr shifts. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.

Weekends (Fri-Sun; 0630-1900)/On call, and holidays may be required (per staff rotation).

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.

Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.

EMR: EPIC experience preferred but not required; will train on-site.

Orientation: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.

Scrubs: Required and provided by the facility.

Job Description: Minimum two (2) years’ current experience required in Cardiothoracic surgery. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.

Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Minimal congenital pediatrics may be required.

Certifications: BLS, (ACLS, and PALS if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Candidate must be able to scrub.
