Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience within the past 12 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

NRP (Required)

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Required)

No block scheduling requests.

Must be able to start within 4-5 weeks to apply

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Patient Ratios : 1:1 Laboring patients 3:1 Couplets

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Birth Registrar/Surgical OR Techs

Type of equipment : Monica- wireless fetal monitoring/ GE fetal monitoring

Documentation system: Meditech/ CPN

Scheduling requirements: Every 3rd weekend

Floating policy: Float to Sister Facility LD/PP

Patient Experience requirements: Bedside Report/ Safety Rounding

Certifications: Burn Certified/ Trauma Certified.

Requested Skill Set: Fetal monitor interpretation, high risk antepartum care active labor management, c-section circulation, post-partum care, circumcision assist procedures, bili light care, lab draw from mother and baby, magnesium administration for pre-eclamptic patients.

Procedures performed on unit:
C-section, circumcision, vaginal deliveries, antepartum testing, ultra sounds
