Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Pulmonary patient care experience and experience caring for patients on vents, bi-pap, trach care, etc. (noted on skills checklist and work history)

• Will take 1st time traveler as long as they have at least 2 years MS experience.

Required Credentials: Current/Active Driver's License or government-issued form of identification

Unit/Facility Details: May care for covid+ patients.

Special Requests: Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirements: Usually every other including holiday rotation

• On Call Requirements: None

Floating Requirements: raveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist
