• 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and the candidate needs solid PCU foundation for success in role in blended unit.
• IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Care of Ventilated Patient, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Medications, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Work Settings, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
