Nurse Only: PCU roles require both a PCU & ICU skills checklist with application.
Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
Required Skills/Experience: Pediatric and Mother/Baby exp required - It is imperative the traveler be able to care for low risk pediatric patient independently.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Vaginal deliveries, newborns, Post Op care for moms with C/Sections and Pediatric cases, occassionally hysterectomies and tubal ligations
Types of Patients on Unit: We care for post appys, surgical repairs of fractures, respiratory illness of pediatric patients. The majority of the patient population in the department is couplets (delivered mothers newborns)
Equipment Used on Unit: Pulse oximeter, vital signs machines, IV pumps, bili lights
Unit/Facility Details: 28 beds
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend is required.
Couplet Care
Must be able to start within 3 weeks of requested start date. ASAP start dates are required to start within 6 weeks.
