Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a New York license
Certifications
BLS (Required)

Additional Details:

Med-Surg/Colorectal Surgery

No Travel teams / pairs.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of experience required at a 600+ bed academic hospital w/passing competency testing score

Required Credentials: Competency test required within 24 hours of submission

Types of Patients on Unit: Post-surgical setting caring for patients that have undergone colorectal and urologic surgery.

Will work closely with the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for ostomy and wound care needs.

Post-operative patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines.

Special Requests: No block schedule or 48-hour requests.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends: Every Other

Must be able to start within 5 weeks to apply
