Required Skills/Experience: ICU experience

Required Credentials: Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts.
-Pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation
-All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus.
Types of Patients on Unit: Cardiac surgery recovery, Empallas, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, Ecmo, esophogectomy, lobectomy, pneumectomy, TAVR
Unit/Facility Details: Very high acuity, travelers with IABP and CABG experience can take patients. High number of bedside procedures, bronchs, Swans, epidurals.
-Ratios: 1/4 on Tele.
-Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
Special Requests: No block scheduling.
Shift & Scheduling:
-Weekend Requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 week schedule.
-Holidays: Work into rotation
Floating Requirements: Float to other ICUs and all Tele units, patient ratio of 1/4 on tele.
-Travelers will float 1st before perm staff.
-Required to float to Westgate if asked.
