Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Primarily neurosurgery, neurology, and stroke patients: craniotomy, intracerebral hemorrhage, laminectomy, fusion, CVA s/p tPA and/or thrombectomy, seizures, autoimmune disorders, NPH, etc. We also see a wide array of medicine patients: sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias requiring a drip (non-titratable), oncology complications, alcohol withdrawal, diabetes, DKA, heart failure, etc.
Unit/Facility Details: This is a 28-bed Neurosciences and Stroke Intermediate Care Unit. We specialize in neurosciences and stroke, but see all IMC patients.
