Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Medical/Neuro ICU experience.
Required Credentials: IMCU travelers are required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading/interpreting rhythm strips. Failure of the telemetry exam will result in contract termination.
Types of Patients on Unit: Focuses on individuals who are experiencing severe, but usually non-life threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments, moderately intensive therapies and interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance. These patients encompass all types of general medical disease process, including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory.
Unit/Facility Details: The IMCU is comprised of 18 beds.
Shift & Scheduling: Call Requirements: None. Eve + Day = 1 holiday. May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. This may be full or partial shifts. Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
