Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 3 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Block Schedules:: No

36 hours or 48 hours

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

Float requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Accessing ports, pre/post neuro surgery, peripheral nerve block catheters, chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evacz

Experience with Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, IV Therapy, Heparin, PCA, Surgical drains, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
