Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Block scheduling requests will not be accepted. No RTO within the first 2 weeks of start date & no major holiday RTO will be accepted (including holiday weekends and surrounding days.)

Must Have The Recent Required Experience.

Start Date After 7/13/25 - Bi-weekly Orientation

May use team nursing model with ratios greater than 8* float required

Must be able to pass EKG testing before start date (This is for ALL Medsurg nurses, regardless of sub specialty)

Required skills: Med/Surg and Telemetry

Preferred skills: Accessing Ports, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Isolation Precautions

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month.

No Blocked Scheduling Requests- No Exceptions.

NO Major holiday RTO requests, including holiday weekends and surrounding days

Previous Perm Staff Rules On Returning: Cannot Return To The Same Campus They Were Perm Staff At Within 24 Months; They Can Return To Another Campus Within Covenant Health After Just 12 Months

Travel teams that are related or married (spouses, family members) cannot work on same unit, please ensure they are submitted to different units if submitting to same location.

Float Required:May float within the hospital (within skill set or as "task RN"),May float within Covenant system hospitals (within skill set or as "task RN"), <50 miles, Minimum 2 hour notice

Weekend Coverage: Every Other

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses: Post-operative general surgery, Post-operative GYN surgery, Oncology / Hematology
