Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases. Travelers will be first to float.

Must have travel experience.

Must have step down experience.

This is a med/surg unit. Will not accept OR candidates.

Must have acute care surgical floor experience.

ENT and/or Transplant Experience Preferred

• Nurses for this unit need Med Surg experience as this floor has inpatients pre or post-surgical services-mostly surgical experience is needed.

• 4E candidates will care for patients post operatively and need to have experiences taking care of patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT. Some of these patients will be Step down care as well. Ratios are 5 or 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for SD area.

Required Education: -Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education: -Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
