Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

NIHSS (Required)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Med/Surg, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, telemetry–remote monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams.

- Blood product administration*, central line blood draw*, peripheral line care/management*, PICC line management*, starting and maintaining IVs*, chest tubes–Emerson/PleurEvac*, CPAP/BiPAP*, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management*, oral suctioning*, oxygen administration*, oxygen tanks*, colostomy care and management*, feeding tube care and management*, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), pre/post neurosurgery, heparin*, insulin*, PCA*, isolation precautions*, wound care/wound vac*, IV insulin protocols*, ortho trauma*, post angiogram*, post MI*, pre/post hemodialysis management*, renal failure*, surgical drains*.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Will work every other weekend.
- Is on-call REQ? No.
Floating Requirements: Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes- will float as needed to other MedSurg and like units.
