Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

NIHSS (Preferred)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Tele, Med/Tele

1st time traveler accepted with at least 2 years of Nursing experience (hospital/medical center experience will be prioritized

Drips on Unit: heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltizem, digoxin

Required Credentials: Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia assessment; Passing score of 80% during onboarding

Preferred Credentials: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI)

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend including holiday rotation. No call

Floating Requirements: May float to BH, ED, ICU and some post-procedural areas
