Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 36 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

ACLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:

OR experience in hospital/medical center - outpatient experience does not substitute

Strong Cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency & experience required

Scrub experience needed

Required Credentials: Current/Active Driver's License or government-issued form of identification. Both front and back are required to be uploaded.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon - Fri

Call - up to 2 overnights per week and 4 weekends per 13 week contract

The call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.

Holidays - Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist
