Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, MS/Tele, Telemetry, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, and Renal failure

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience

Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, and IV insulin protocols.

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Unit/Facility Details: Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling: Open to 8 week contracts
