Patient Types: 24h - Post-op CABG(10/wk.), Esophajectomy, TAVR (3/wk.), AAA repair, Thoracic and Vascular surgeries, Post arrest
Not Expected to Care for: Hypothermia Treatment, Hypothermia Treatment, ECMO, Balloon Pump, fresh open heart, CRRT, Impella
Skills Required:
Cardiac rhythm interpretation, Chest tubes, Lumbar drains, Vent Management, Invasive Line management (A-line, CVP, Swann) External Pacemakers, Bipap, Abdominal Pressure Monitor, Trachs
Vasoactive drips titration and Cardiac Drips
Common titration gtts are: Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl, Versed, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nicardapine, Levophed, Epi
If they have experience in Cerner, candidate should be ok
Scheduling:
Must work every other weekend
Could float to CCU or other ICU level units
Must work at least 2 or 3 upcoming holidays (only applicable during holiday season)
If requesting time off, must be willing to add to the end of the assignment
Orientation:
Two days of general hospital orientation
One full shift on the unit- 4 hrs on each of the three units
Traveler Telemetry Competency - Required
Required to be completed and passed prior to start
Dress Code: Scrubs - Any color except black because CNA wears black.
