Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Step Down Unit experience.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Note: Must have completed 3-4 travel assignments -*** This is a Boarding unit - pts come from ED and boarded until d/c or moved to inpatient unit. Pt's are stable and moved out if becomes unstable. -Required Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Work Settings, ER Holding, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Additional Skills

Preferred Skills/Experience: -Preferred Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Telemetry, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Titrate Vasoactive drips

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit/Facility Details: This unit is an Acuity adaptable unit. Patients range from MS level of care to PCU /stepdown/ICU level of care

Note: This is an ED HOLD unit - RN's need to be aware of the unit type, Not a PCU unit. RN will have MS and PCU type patients in ED boarding area

-This is a Boarding unit - pts come from ED and boarded until d/c or moved to inpatient unit. Pt's are stable and moved out if becomes unstable.

Shift & Scheduling: -Weekend REQ: EOW -8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek.

Floating Requirements: -**This is a float position and can be floated to an inpatient PCU unit. RN must have PCU exp.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
