Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Neurologic Intensive Care Unit experience.
BSN completion preferred
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
3 months of experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Professional Topics and Skills Infection Prevention.

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. CRRT.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Brain tumor, skull base tumors, complex spine, spine tumors, ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, Parkinsons, seizures, GBS, alzeheimers disease, epilepsy, cerebrovascular conditions, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders.

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics.

Equipment Used on Unit: Comprehensive stroke center, EVD, lumbar drain, deep brain stimulation, EEG monitoring, ventilator management, organ donation management. Special Equipment: Ceiling lifts in every room, bladder scan, vein light, bair hugger, arctic sun, nxstage CRRT pumps, belmont rapid transfuser

Unit/Facility Details: Total Staffed Beds: 402. Number of Beds: 24.

Special Requests: RTO: must be no more than 8 days and must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work a full 36 hrs/week; the RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days. Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every Other.
