Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

ADN completion required

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license

Additional Details:

RN - Nephrology/MS

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Hours: Policy requires all staff to work at least 2 weekend shifts per month

Float Requirements: As needed per Facility Needs

Number of Beds: 24

Patient Ratios: 1:4 – 1:6

Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Geriatric and Adults

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: ESRD, Peritoneal Dialysis, Hemodialysis

Position is for Nephrology unit, which is an extension of the Med/Surg units - Observation Unit experience a plus

Must have at least 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Charge Nurse preferred but not required. Nephrology experience preferred but not required.
