Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

9 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

NIHSS (Required)

ONS (Preferred)

ACLS (Preferred)

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Ortho / Neuro RN - Required

Chest Tube Management - Required

EKG Interpretation - Preferred

Floating: May float to Med-surg, rehab, Tele

Dress Code: Scrubs - Professional navy blue top and bottom

Weekend Requirement:

4 weekend 12-hr shift requirements per schedule (Days: Saturday/Sunday Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Weekend call ins must be made up. Must communicate with unit leaders weekend commitments
