Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Oncology Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Arkansas license or compact license

PALS (Required)
APHON (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Nicotine free campus. Must test negative.

Shift & Scheduling:

Every other weekend is required.

Holidays required, as needed.

Chemo RN is available set hrs. during the week & weekend.

No Self Scheduling.

RNs should expect 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing for the facility.

Floating Requirements:

Floating is required to other pediatric units

Traveler are first to float.

Special Requests:

IVS to AUTO OFFER (if qualified & 3 days or less RTO (no holidays).

Preferred Skills/Experience:

BMT Transplant experience preferred.

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient population: fever, neutropenia, chemotherapy admission, solid tumor, sarcoma, leukemia, chronic pain crisis, new diagnoses, palliative.

Age range of patient population is 0-21 years.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

IV Meds: Blood transfusion, Antibiotics, Stem Cell, IV fluids Types of Pediatric Surgery: resections, ports, etc.
