Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Experience with Omnicell is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

ACLS (Required)
Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Preferred)
Vaccinations

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Neonates & Adults

Required Skills/Experience: Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience in L&D, LDRP and PP care. Must be able to manage a 3 couplet assignment.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM ( External Fetal Heart Monitoring) Start & Maintain Peripheral IV Administer Antihypertensives and Insulin drips Assist with vaginal delivery Recover C-Section APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ( “Baby Catcher”), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation Newborn Assessment Epidural Anesthesia / Pain assessment & management Postpartum care and Procedures as well as M/B postpartum care Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM ( External Fetal Heart Monitoring)
