Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

12 James Surg Onc is a mixed acuity unit that cares for both PCU and Med Surg patients. This is a very busy surgical floor. All perm staff is PCU trained.

Weekends - variable based on unit needs.

No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff.

Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule.

First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

Patient Age group • Adults • Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses • Surgical Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma • Hepatobiliary: liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine • Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer • Plastics: reconstructive breast cancer or sarcoma

Special Procedures/Unit Details • Chemotherapy • Blood transfusions • IV Antibiotics • Oncologic emergencies • cytokine release syndrome • Insulin drips • Heparin drips • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

RTO required with submission, must be built into contract.

Locals are accepted at the same rate.

Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more.
