Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Pennsylvania license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)
Vaccinations
COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

RTO: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks.

Previous Charge Experience - Preferred

Weekends as needed (likely EOW)

Holiday rotation

Floating: Will float to all MS floors and rehab unit

Could care for COVID patients.

Skills:

IV therapy/Phlebotomy:

Preferred: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs

Respiratory:

Preferred: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management

Gastrointestinal:

Preferred: Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management

Genitourinary/Renal:

Preferred: Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure

Professional Knowledge and Skills:

Preferred: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Endocrine /Metabolic: IV insulin protocols (Preferred)

Work Settings: Med/Surg, Plastics, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response

Preferred: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Surgical drains

Telemetry - Remote monitoring

Orientation Hours: 8
