Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required from the last 3 years.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Floating requirements

Must be willing to float to other units to support needs, which includes ED for behavioral health patients who need close observation and may be called off for low census once per 6 weeks

Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Required skills/experience:

L&D experience as well as newborn nursery experience.

Mother and Baby exp NICU experience would be a bonus

Shift and scheduling:

Every other weekend. holidays and weekends are expected on-call requirement is 3 on call shifts per 6-week schedule experienced nurse who can help support some of the newer team members at night

Special Requirements

Skills checklist must be completed within the last 6 months for Application.

Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs). If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.
