Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
BSN completion preferred
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Rotating shifts - no straight days or nights available

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses: This unit is a 34 bed, 6 progressive and 15 total telemetry patients. It is a primary unit for Neurology, Neurosurgery, and ENT. Patients are admitted with diagnosis of stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders. Neurosurgery patients admitted with with head, neck, back trauma and elective surgeries. ENT patients with radical neck surgery due to trauma, cancer. Other services include surgery trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, and medicine. We can take stable ventilators in PC

Facility will review all background hits, etc.

Return Staff Policy: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler.

Modules: -Modules are non-billable, average 6 hours of modules factored in NBO -Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty
