Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from last 3 months.

24 months of Operating Room experience is required from last 3 months.

BSN completion preferred

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

On Call/Weekend Requirement: 1-2 calls per week, weekend included in rotation.

Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Will accept candidates with licensure pending if: *Proof of application is submitted at the time of submission *Provide date the license entered pending status with your submission

Skills Req: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, scrub in general OR, whipple, and thyroidectomy partial/total

Scrubs Provided; color blue.

RTO: Inpatient: RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days and this must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work his/her full 36 hours/week. RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days.

Manager may or may not interview. Traveler must be ok with this.
