Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience

  • IV therapy/Phlebotomy

Administration of blood & blood products* Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)*

  • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care: Adult cardiac arrest* Infant / neonatal arrest* Use of Rapid Response/Code teams* Telemetry Interpretation*

  • Labor and Delivery Management: Scrub for C-Section*

  • Medication & Administration: AnticoagulantsAntiseizure

  • Neonatal Care in Delivery Room: Collect cord samples*

  • Antepartum Care and Procedures: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)* NST (Non Stress Tests)* Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus*
