Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Operating Room experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Guaranteed Hour: 36

No RTO will be approved from 07/28-08/23

Must Be Proficient in: Neuro, Ortho, ENT, trauma, & Robotics

Required Experience: 2 years of OR – Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required: RN: Ortho-Trauma (ORIF, Ex fix, Amputations), Neuro (Craniotomy, Spinal), General, Robotics (Davinci XI) Surgical experience in a tertiary care center Pre-Op/PACU (to include ICU skillset in PACU)

Floating: If yes, where? RN: As needed (PreOp/PACU/Floor) – if floated out of peri-op services, will be as helping hands

Weekend rotation – If position is posted as weekend only and on call, every 3rd weekend

Call: Ideally, one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend Fri 1500 – Mon 0700 this is subject to change as needs change within the department 15 min response time

Holiday Expectations: 2/4 major holidays
