Types of patients served are Congestive Heart Failure, Stroke, TIA, COPD, Chest pain, etc. This unit serves the surgical patients and orthopedic population.
Proficiency in Telemetry needed.
Could care for COVID patients.
Orientation Hours: 8
Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
Previous Charge Experience preferred
Teaching Hospital Experience and Community Hospital Experience preferred.
Patient Diagnoses: CHF Exacerbations, Respiratory illness, arrythmias, general surgery, ortho, End of life care, COPD, Sepsis
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Occasional stable open heart surgery patients transferred out of ICU into a med surg floor (typically day 4-5 post op)
RTO: if more than 5 days of RTO, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks
