Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

PALS (Required)

Additional Details:

Required Experience: Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Procedures Performed on Unit: IV starts, Caths, holding for LP’s, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, ventilator management.

Patient Ratios: PICU 1Rn to 1-2 pts Stepdown: 1RN to 2-3 pts.

Equipment Used on Unit: Alaris pumps

Special Requests: No Block Scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling Requirements: In a 6 week schedule must work 3 weekends

Floating Requirements: Will float to Peds and NICU
